main purpose is to enhance the home-school-community connection that is
so vital to the success of our educational program for all students. We
are “Scholars Making a Difference”, and we work hard to make the site a

Mission Statement
Through the collaborative efforts of students, parents, staff, and community, along with comprehensive and balanced curricula, Milam Elementary will assist students in developing individual talents and teach them to relate the experience of the classroom to the outside world. Milam will uphold intellectual rigor and high academic standards placing emphasis on international understanding and responsible citizenship so that students may become critical, compassionate thinkers and lifelong learners while respecting a variety of global cultures and attitudes.
