Milam Elementary kicked off the morning with smiles, treats, and family time as the school opened its doors to welcome dads and parent figures for a special “Donuts With Dad” gathering. Families enjoyed donuts, coffee, juice, and water while spending time with teachers, staff, and administrators. The event created a joyful atmosphere across campus as students shared a relaxed moment before the school day began.
Students from Mrs. M. Hernandez’s second-grade class shared how meaningful the morning felt. Regina P., along with her siblings Ximena and Edgar, were excited to have their dad on campus. “It made me happy because he not only ate donuts with me, but he also visited my school,” Regina said. Leah M. added that being with her dad during school “made her feel happy,” while Arianny G. shared, “It filled me with joy because we don’t have much time together since he works a lot, and spending this moment with him made it very special. We had a really good time together.”
