Week One at Ben Milam Elementary was filled with the energy of new beginnings, familiar smiles, and the excitement of what lies ahead. Under the leadership of Ms. Hernandez, our school community came together with a shared sense of purpose—to create a welcoming, nurturing environment where every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to learn. Our halls and classrooms came alive as students and staff reconnected, welcomed new faces, and began building the strong relationships that make learning possible. From the first greetings to the first lessons, there was a sense that something special was beginning.
Yet, while week one marks a new beginning, it is also a continuation of the meaningful work already taking place at Ben Milam. With high hopes, big dreams, and a commitment to growth, we are building upon our strengths while creating new opportunities for every Mustang to thrive. Together, we will nurture curious minds, encourage confidence and kindness, and help our students discover their potential. This first week was only the beginning—but it was a bright one, filled with connection, purpose, and the promise of brighter futures for every little mind we have the privilege to nurture.
